Ocala’s Josh Hart won in his debut with John Force Racing, taking down reigning Top Fuel world champion Doug Kalitta in the final round of the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Chad Green (Funny Car), Matt Hartford (Pro Stock) and Richard Gadson (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the first of 20 races of the season.
Top Fuel low qualifier Doug Kalitta, Austin Prock, Matt Hartford, and Richard Gadson won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge titles at the American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals. Paul Lee, Dallas Glenn, and Gaige Herrera also were low qualifiers.
