Funny Car’s Jack Beckman picked up his first victory since taking over for legendary driver John Force, defeating Ron Capps in the final round of the 13th annual NHRA Midwest Nationals, also winning his first race in nearly four years on Sunday at World Wide Technology Raceway.
Eight-time Top Fuel world champion Tony Schumacher picked up his first win in 37 races on Sunday at Bristol Dragway’s 23rd annual Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. Austin Prock, Jeg Coughlin Jr., and Gaige Herrera also won on Sunday in Bristol.
Tony Schumacher and Troy Coughlin Jr. pulled off stunning final-round upsets to win in Top Fuel and Pro Stock at the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals and were joined by red-hot Robert Hight, who won again in Funny Car.
