Top Fuel’s Doug Kalitta picked up his milestone 50th career win on Monday at Maple Grove Raceway, earning his first victory in nearly three years after driving past Steve Torrence in the final round of the 38th annual Pep Boys NHRA Nationals.
The NHRA Four-Wide Nationals marked the first of two consecutive races in the four-across format, and Matt Hagan (Funny Car), Antron Brown (Top Fuel), and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) each claimed victory.
After two rounds of professional qualifying at the NHRA Nevada Nationals, Brittany Force, Robert Hight, Aaron Stanfield, and Matt Smith are the provisional low qualifiers in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle.
